Our tax services are exclusive to clients who utilize our bookkeeping services. Our office must complete your bookkeeping in order to provide you with proper tax services. This is because we want to make sure the income and expenses we report to the IRS is accurate, and can be supported in the event of an audit. We are also able to find more deductions when we are completing your bookkeeping.
Our office may request additional documentation depending on your filing status, and if you have filed a return with our office before. For example, our office may request IRS Form 2553 if you are an S-Corporation that has not filed a return with our office in previous years. You will be able to upload this information on our secure web portal.
All owners will be required to provide a proof of identity in order to complete a business tax return. This proof of identity will be requested, and received with a time stamped E-Signature.
Once your taxes have been prepared, review the returns for accuracy, and schedule a virtual meeting with your tax advisor. During this meeting your tax advisor will review all income statements and deductions to make sure nothing is missing. You will provide your verbal approval for the returns to be submitted, or detail the items that must be added or corrected on the return.
Once you have provided verbal approval, your tax advisor will send a final copy for your E-Signature. This provides acceptance of the return to be submitted to the IRS and State(s) where required.
Once you have approved your return, our office will E-File your return. We will wait for confirmation that the return has been accepted by the Federal and State authority. Once the return has been accepted, we will send a final confirmation page for your records.
